I was born and raised in Avella, Pennsylvania, a small rural mining town just south of Pittsburgh near the West Virginia state line. I spent the first 27 years of my life in the Pittsburgh area, with a short season living in Columbia, South Carolina, before life began leading me in new directions.
My husband and I met in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. Together our journey took us through Goldsboro, North Carolina, Circleville, Ohio, and Auburn, Alabama before we eventually made our home in LaFayette, Georgia in 2014.
Here, we built our house on a 47 acre farm where we have raised our family surrounded by gardens, animals, and wide open space. Over the years we have cared for chickens, goats, cows, pigs, and many beloved pets. Living close to the land has deeply shaped the way I view health, healing, and the connection between our bodies and the world around us.
I am a proud mom of three wonderful boys, now 29, 19, and 16 years old. Watching them grow has been one of my greatest teachers and continues to guide the work I do today.
From a young age, I felt a strong calling to help others. That calling first led me to pursue an education in Social Work, but my own health journey ultimately reshaped the direction of my life’s work.
At 18 years old, I developed psoriasis. Over time, growing concerns about the long term effects of biologic medications and other treatments led me to begin asking deeper questions. I wanted to understand not only psoriasis, but the root causes of autoimmune conditions as a whole.
Through years of personal research, lifestyle experimentation, and self discovery, I became deeply convinced that nutrition, movement, mental health, emotional well being, and spiritual health are essential pieces of healing.
This journey led me to enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I earned my certification as a Holistic Health Coach. I later became certified as a Personal Trainer through ISSA and completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with One Yoga during a 40 day immersion on the island of Koh Phangan in Thailand.
I have continued my education in nutrition and physical health and received my degree in Community Health and Wellness, graduating magna cum laude. Learning remains a lifelong commitment for me, both personally and professionally.
I believe wellness is more than being free from illness. It is an ongoing process of growth and awareness that supports the whole person.
Everything we feel and do is connected to our well being. Our energy, emotions, resilience, and daily choices are all shaped by the state of our health. When balance is lost, the body often communicates through fatigue, stress, or disconnection.
True wellness touches every area of life. It influences our environment, relationships, work, belief systems, physical activity, self care, nourishment, self esteem, and creative expression.
When we begin applying wellness in our everyday lives, we open the door to living with greater vitality, clarity, and purpose.
I believe deeply that food is medicine and that for many decades we have been led away from understanding our true nutritional needs. A growing movement is emerging that invites us back into awareness, education, and personal responsibility for our health.
My goal is to be a leader in that movement and to guide others toward sustainable wellness that feels grounded, empowering, and aligned.
